With 10 years’ experience working in the New Zealand trailer market, father and son team, Danny and Tom Elders made an excellent first impression on key decision maker Jac Williams, who meticulously worked his way through many applicants being considered for the gap in the New Zealand market, that had arisen due to a retirement.
Not long later, Danny and Tom Elders were short listed for a visit from the Directors of Ifor Williams Trailers. As seasoned professionals within the trailer business, it quickly became obvious that Danny and Tom’s core values in business aligned fully with the core values of Ifor Williams Trailers and the Elders were able to demonstrate a proven track record of going the extra mile to look after the needs of their customers.
Danny and Tom were already fully aware of the strengths of the Ifor Williams brand, the company’s history of product performance and the well-known manufacturing quality and design capabilities, so they pursued the Distributorship application with energy, attention to detail and enthusiasm. In appointing the Elders, the strong partnership between father and son, cementing a reactive team that are able to cover all the key skills needed to run a successful Distributorship, capable of selling the wide variety of trailers produced by Ifor Williams Trailers, was influential in the decision making to become an Approved Distributor on the North Island of New Zealand.
